This is a high level overview of the product, strategy, and implementation. Meridia Outdoors is a marketplace that allows consumers to find, compare, and book adventures including lodging and professional guides around the world. We are launching in the fishing vertical with (tentative) plans to expand into other adventure and outdoor sports as we grow.

  • Thinking about why this experience doesn't exist now:
    • There are already plenty of distribution options for fishing lodges from aggregators like Booking.com to Airbnb, to social media and owned websites, as well as traditional travel agency channels. What they really need is a way to re-engage past guest, maximize occupancy, etc. Distribution seems like it's mostly a solved problem. That's my hypothesis.
